Purported iPad 5 front panel and real housing combined to form the entire shell

The major purported parts of the iPad 5, its rear housing and front panel, have been leaked quite a few times. The two parts have been combined to form an entire shell, which hints what Apple’s next flagship tablet might look like.

Rumors have been circulating for quite a few months now that the iPad 5 will have a design similar to the iPad mini. It is believed that the new tablet will look like a scaled-up iPad mini. The front panel and rear housing do bear resemblance on their own, when combined, only can see the obvious design similarities. Fact remains though that there’s no way to confirm the authenticity of these parts, so for all we known, the new iPad might end up looking quite different from what we see here.

The purported rear housing of iPad 5 has been redesigned, as claimed by many rumors and seen in various leaks. Its quite similar to the iPad mini’s rear housing. The front panel shows off slimmer bezels, something which has also been rumored many times. If these parts indeed belong to Apple’s next generation iPad, then there’s no doubt about the fact that iPad 5 will look a lot like iPad mini, apart from the obvious difference in display size.

Apple is expected to launch both the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 later this year. Rumor has it that the announcement might take place around the holiday season, though nothing has been confirmed as yet.
