Black Friday deals on Newegg and Fry's Electronics arrive, inexpensive gadgets galore

Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Verizon, Microsoft, Amazon and Apple are no longer the only retailers with their Black Friday 2013 cards on the table, as Newegg and Fry’s Electronics have also spilled the holiday celebratory beans.

Unintentionally, that is, or so it may appear to the untrained eye. Meanwhile, those of us that have been around the block know this kind of inside information almost never gets revealed by accident.

Besides, do you really think it’s a coincidence Newegg’s so-called leak includes just a handful of products to be discounted, some of which don’t even have their prices listed? Well, it’s not.

In any case, expect to see the already low-cost Dell Venue 8 Android tablet lead the seller’s BF pack, alongside a 14-inch Asus VivoBook touchscreen ultrabook, Sony’s SmartWatch 2, Canon’s EOS 70D DSLR and a heap of PC components.

There’s also a pretty kewl and massive 55-inch 1,080p LED TV from Samsung, which normally costs 1,500 bucks and is to be slashed a whopping $700, to $800. Plus, to make sure business won’t lag too much in Black Friday anticipation, Newegg has kicked some nifty promotions into gear early, promising prices won’t drop lower by the end of the week.

As for Fry’s, the big-box store’s cards seem to be all on the table, with a leaked Black Friday brochure that’s six pages long and filled to the brim with old and new, cheap and costly, high-end and low-end electronics. Here are a few of them:

  • Microsoft Surface RT 32 GB with keyboard cover – $229

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 – $159

  • Lenovo Yoga 10.1-inch Android tablet – $249

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 – $299 plus $50 gift card

  • 15.6-inch Asus laptop with Intel Core i3 – $278

  • 15.6-inch Lenovo notebook with Core i5 and 500 GB HDD – $388

  • Sony Vaio touchscreen laptop (14-incher) – $698

  • Quad-core 14-inch Lenovo notebook – $348

  • Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 – $169

  • No-contract AT&T Avail 2 smartphone – $39
