Remember, the Shield is a very unusually-looking device, sporting a flip-up 5-inch touchscreen with 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution. It runs Android 4.2 out the box (upgradeable to 4.3), packs plenty of heat (all things considered), courtesy of a quad-core Tegra 4 SoC, and can stream games from a desktop PC equipped with an Nvidia GTX 650 or higher video card. At the end of the day, it’s not spectacular, but at $250, it’s worth a shot.
