Sony's Black Friday sale slashes prices on digital titles up to 65 percent off

Sony has announced a Black Friday weekend sale that slashes prices on some of 2013′s best PS3 games.

Black Friday is one of the best times of the year to save big on everything from gadgets to games, and Sony has announced a sale focused on digital PS3 games.

The Black Friday sale will be held from Friday to Sunday and offers savings up to -65 percent off on select titles including The Last of Us, Saints Row IV, Diablo III and God of War: Ascension. Sony may offer other games within the promotion as well, but these have been spotted so far.

In addition to the superb Black Friday deals offered by retailers, Sony’s digital sale assures that gamers who do end up picking up a PS3 bundle will be able to also get their hands on a few games for cheap.

Some deals, like the $199 250GB PS3 bundle that includes The Last of Us and Batman: Arkham Origins, are offered only on Black Friday. Weekend deals include Sony’s digital game sale as well as in-store discounts of The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls available for $39.99.

Sony also details that GameStop, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Toys R’ Us and Best Buy will be offering a year of PS Plus for only $29.99 on Friday as well.

If you’re looking for some next-gen deals, Wal-Mart is offering select PS4 and Xbox One games for $49, and Amazon has jumped in to compete by matching this deal as well.

Be sure to make your game plan as the big day is all but here, and these deals offer a great way to knock off a few things from your holiday shopping list. Some retailers–like Amazon–are offering online deals to avoid the hectic shopping frenzy to make things much more convenient for holiday shoppers, so you’ll have plenty of options when Black Friday rolls around.
