Cydia for iOS 7 released with an all new design

The infamous “alternative App Store” for jailbroken iOS devices has been updated with a completely revamped design.

Over the past few years, the Cydia app has remained largely the same, save for various tweaks that were made under the hood. The design of this apps hasn’t been changed much, but with Apple radically changing the user interface with iOS 7, the app warranted a new design. Jay Freeman, a.k.a Saurik, the creator of Cydia has now released an updated version of this app that brings an all new design which is much more in line with that of iOS 7.

Just like the latest and greatest firmware update from Apple, Cydia too touts a flat design, a rich color palette and translucent overlays, making it seem like its just another app download from the official App Store.*Icons across the app have been changed to reflect the new user interface as well.*This updated Cydia app has been released as a package given the fact that the iOS 7 untethered jailbreak was released with an unofficial build of Cydia, nevertheless, Jay Freeman has delivered in merely a couple of days, people with jailbroken devices should expect a smooth Cydia experience now that the official build is out.

However, Saurik says that there are some things in this build that are “not quite right,” those he’s working on them and will be able to roll out updates in the very near future.
