Haruka and Sayaka share their thoughts in latest AKB48 documentary

After the attacks that happened last month during the meet-and-greet event, everyone found themselves curious as to why it happened and how AKB48*was holding up afterwards. Haruka and Sayaka are shedding some light in the latest AKB documentary.

A documentary series covering the life of AKB48 for one year will finally reach it’s conclusion this Friday when “DOCUMENTARY of AKB48: The time has come, Girls, what do you think looking back?” hits theaters. It will cover the events which have*happened from January to June, and shed some light on what happened during the now-infamous*meet-and-greet event*as well as the fate of future meet-and-greet events. Two members that feature heavily in the documentary are Haruka Shimazaki and Sayaka Yamamoto, who were reunited this year during the Grand Shuffle in February.

During the Senbatsu Election, both were able to speak about what happened during the meet-and-greet. Haruka said that usually she would say she is very happy, and thank you, but felt that it wasn’t what fans really wanted to hear. Instead, after hearing those ranked before her speak she thought she should do her best and, even though the meet-and-greet events might not continue, fans should still go and see idols.

Sayaka was also willing to listen to fan comments after the attack, and after receiving messages on Google Plus about how after the attack they were feeling lonely she also started to feel the same way, and wanted to embrace fans. Even so, she’s still reserved about starting the meet-and-greet events again.

Even if the girls don’t feel as safe as before, do you think they should resume meet-and-greet events with fans?
