Apple will announce smart-watch wearable at Sept. 9 event

iWatch announcement all but official now.

Before writing at re/code, John Paczkowski used to work for*All Things Digital*where he regularly – and successfully – published sensitive information regarding the launch and specifications of Apple products several weeks before their official announcement. Today, he has spoken about Apple’s purported iWatch.

While assuring readers Apple could change their plans, his source claims that the smart-watch from Apple will be announced on September 9th alongside two new iPhones. The ‘iWatch’ will make use of Apple’s HomeKit and HealthKit platforms to work with connected home electronics, and health / fitness devices:
Apple now plans to unveil a new wearable alongside the two next-generation iPhones we told you the company will debut on September 9. (Funny “joke,” Gruber.) The new device will, predictably, make good use of Apple’s HealthKit health and fitness platform. It will also — predictably — make good use of HomeKit, the company’s new framework for controlling connected devices — though it’s not clear how broadly or in what way.

I have been covering technology news for over four years now, and I have solid belief in Paczkowski. His sources have rarely, if ever, failed him.

Stay tuned to VR-Zone as we will be closely covering the September 9th event!
