The official website to the Fairy Tail TV anime has just been updated, and it has announced that Kana Hanazawa will be joining the main cast of Fairy Tail Zero as Mavis Vermillion’s best friend, Zera.

She will be joining the voice cast which was announced earlier, led by none other than Mamiko Noto (Hell Girl’s Ai Enma and Elfen Lied’s Yuka), who will reprise her role as the first master of Fairy Tail, Mavis Vermillion.
Other confirmed cast members include:
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Yuri
- Hiroshi Shirokuma as Warrod
- Yoshihisa Kawahara as Precht
- Akira Ishida as Zeref
Fairy Tail Zero is based on the manga written and illustrated by*the creator of Fairy Tail and Rave Master himself, Hiro Mashima. Scheduled to begin airing January 2016, the story follows the meeting between Mavis and Zara, and some treasure hunters named*Warrod Sequen, Precht, and Yuri Dreyer. These people would soon the founders of the Fairy Tail guild, and this is their story.
