The official Gintama website announced a few more details on the upcoming new Gintama TV anime. In that announcement, the website posted that the new TV anime will be airing in January, to be specific, it will premiere on January 9, at 1:35 am JST.
The 1:35 am air time is really far removed*from its usual prime time airing, as the previous Gintama anime were shown during the 6:00 pm time slot. This will be the first time that the series will be first*shown during a late night time slot in Japan.The new Gintama anime was announced last September, inside the pages of Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine. Hideaki Sorachi’s 4th wall-breaking samurai comedy manga has now also reached its final arc.
